Office Administrator
Quasar is a widely respected supplier of energy metering and power quality monitoring systems. It provides system design, development, implementation and on-going support. Its customers include most of New Zealand's power generators, electricity distribution networks, and many blue-chip industrial concerns. Quasar is the NZ Certified Integrator for Survalent's SCADA products, and integrators of Schneider's ION and PowerLogic Metering Devices and Software.
The Company is in a growth phase, building on 28 years of providing world quality hardware and software. The role of Office Administrator is to provide a warm and professional interface with clients, suppliers and contractors. They will work as part of the administration team to provide support for the company's management, accounts, sales, and technical staff. Key functions include:
Responsibilities:

Answering telephones and greeting visitors
-
Inwards Goods and Dispatch of goods
-
Accounts Payable – entering supplier/creditor bills including Visa Card Transactions

General administration duties
-
Hospitality and Housekeeping
-
Coordinating meetings and taking minutes
-
Maintaining office supplies
-
Managing our in-house database systems
-
Graphic design for use in marketing materials – these skills desired but not essential
Experience
-
Experience in a similar secretarial, reception, administrative support role is essential.

Thorough working knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable systems
-
Recent experience in a professional, busy, modern, business orientated environment is highly desirable.

Prior experience working with people from other cultures would be an advantage.
Technical Skills:
A thorough working knowledge of the following is required: –

QUICKBOOKS Premier/Enterprise Accounting software or equivalent package

Microsoft Office Word, Outlook and Excel (Version 2007 or later)
Skills desired but not essential:-

Microsoft Access, Project and PowerPoint (Version 2007 or later)

Graphic Editing
Additionally the following skills are required:

Well developed written and oral communication skills.

A good command of the English language and written English is essential
