Project Engineer
The role of Project Engineer is to form an integral part of the Engineering Team developing, expanding, testing and supporting custom solutions for energy metering and power quality management.
We are seeking:
A strong team player with initiative and work experience in Electrical systems, Communications and Substation environments. Experience in project development and proven history of innovation and problem solving are essential along with an excellent command of the English language and written English.
The role:
- Design Revenue/Power Quality Metering and/or SCADA systems to support customer applications.
- Develop lop supporting systems, documentation and drawings.
- Provide customer training
- Perform system commissioning and assistance in trouble-shoot field problems.
- In co-ordination with Quasar’s Engineering Manager, manage projects from initial development to the delivery and commissioning of the customer’s systems.
- Implement custom application solutions with 3rd party solution providers where necessary.
- Assist with Customer support and our on-going System Support contracts.
- Rostered after-hours support if required.
Secondary roles could include, assistance with evaluating new solutions, assisting sales with technical and design input, internal staff training, support of Quasar’s internal IT structure.
