Detect Whether a Disturbance is Upstream or Downstream

The PM8000 contains Disturbance Direction Detection (DDD), which uses comprehensive algorithms to analyse wave shape and disturbance alarm data.

It gives the user feedback on the location of a disturbance with respect to the meter location (whether upstream or downstream) and a confidence rating.
