Quickly collect data for decision making
|
Our portable meters are a cost-effective solution for quickly gathering power quality data such as transients, harmonics, flicker and sag/swell, as well as energy data.
A Quasar portable meter enables you to:
|
Take the first step to improve your power quality
|
Before you can improve your power quality, you need to measure it.
Our portable meters gather a variety of power quality data including harmonics, high-speed transients, flicker and event location (upstream or downstream). By recording these events and their locations, you’ll be able to more effectively put in place permanent solutions to mitigate issues and monitor your system moving forward. |
Viewing the data collected
|
Once the portable meter is installed, the data will immediately get sent to Power Monitoring Expert (PME) software that is hosted by Quasar. You will receive a login to PME and a training session on how to access and interpret data, and then at any time you will be able to access PME to view your dashboards and reporting.
Once your hire period is finished, you’ll meet with our team to discuss the data collected and any issues that were uncovered. |
The PME dashboards and reports you’ll receive access to
During your portable meter hire period, you’ll be able to remotely access the following PME dashboards and reports:

Inside the Portable Meter
|
The portable meter contains an ION9000T advanced power meter that is able to detect high-speed transients that are often hard to capture.
High-speed voltage transients can impact a facility’s electrical system, by stressing electrical insulation and damaging sensitive electronics, ultimately leading to poor performance, gradual breakdown, or abrupt failure. |
ION9000T features
|
The ION9000T power quality meter has the same features as the ION9000 plus provides high speed transient detection and capture and voltage event capture up to 10 kV.
