Quasar Systems wins 2009 Best Trade Exhibition Award

Quasar Systems' innovative stand won the Best Trade Exhibition Stand Award at the 2009 Electricity Engineers’ Association’s annual conference. The theme of ‘Delivering Intelligent Data’ was highlighted on a large plasma display panel, along with live links to some of our clients' systems. The award criteria were: stand layout, range of products and information on display, interaction with delegates and visitors, design flair & creativity.

“This is the eighth Conference at which we have offered this Award. Each year we never cease to be amazed at the creativity of the exhibition stand layouts, themes and activities to attract delegates and visitors to stand sites. This year we had 99 trade stands representing over eighty companies so the judging task is not getting any easier." said Richard Gibbons, EEA Executive Committee member, when presenting the award to Quasar Systems.

Trade Exhibitors are an integral part of the EEA Conference and Richard Gibbons said that the number and quality of the trade exhibition stands at this year’s event was very rewarding particularly given the global economic climate. He also thanked those trade exhibition companies that supported the paper presentation programme at the conference.

“It is a great opportunity to highlight product and service innovation which is vital to our industry future. There are some excellent technical papers on the programme covering technologies we should be using to improve our performance.”

The Best Trade Exhibition Stand Award was presented at the 2009 EEA 'Delivering Sustainable Infrastructure'annual conference held from 19-20 June in the Christchurch Convention Centre. 

Over 500 delegates, visitors and exhibitors involved in the generation, transmission, distribution, retail and utilisation sectors of the New Zealand electricity supply industry attended this premier event.
